The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Junior Developer to join the Strafe Creative team. You’ll write clean, simple code, learn from experienced developers, and work on exciting digital projects that challenge you to grow your skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Writing clean, maintainable code under the supervision of mid- and senior developers.
- Fixing bugs and updating basic sites while developing your technical confidence.
- Using Git to support version control with guidance from the team.
- Supporting discovery sessions by gathering technical info and documenting tasks.
- Liaising with mid and senior developers to review designs and ensure build requirements are met.
- Participating in code reviews and applying feedback to improve your work.
- Completing QA checklists at milestones, resolving bugs with help from seniors.
- Updating tasks and progress in Monday.com every day to keep the project managers in the loop.
- Collaborating closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality builds.
- Exploring new tech, languages, and tools, and sharing what you learn.
What we’re looking for:
- A basic understanding of core programming languages used at Strafe.
- Eagerness to learn version control systems like Git.
- Solid problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to debugging.
- Clear communication; you’ll explain simple technical concepts to non-tech teammates.
- A positive, proactive attitude, with a genuine desire to grow as a developer.
