Position Description:

As a USM Trading Manager, you will drive STRADE’s material sales and profitability through senior leadership engagement in the global Used Serviceable Material (USM) trader, airline, and MRO community. You will leverage a deep network of trading partners to drive USM material business (particularly surplus) and ensure STRADE’s USM assets — and those of its marketplace partners — find the appropriate buyers outside the regular marketplace activities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the full trading process – from sourcing surplus and other USM to closing sales, ensuring each deal is timely, smooth, and profitable.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with airlines, MROs, lessors, and trading partners to create recurring opportunities and long-term value.
  • Be the face of STRADE at major industry events and within the trading community, growing our brand and expanding our network.
  • Optimize profitability by finding the best sourcing options, negotiating smart commercial terms, and continuously analyzing margins to improve deal efficiency.
  • Work closely with internal teams to turn surplus material into tailored packages or targeted individual offerings that truly meet customer needs.
  • Grow our presence in the USM trading world—especially around surplus packages, part numbers, and specific aircraft platforms.
  • Drive revenue and margin growth by smartly assembling and selling our inventory in ways that create real customer value.
  • Secure a reliable supply pipeline by nurturing strong relationships with trusted sellers and trading entities.
  • Maintain consistent sales flow to support order intake and hit our financial targets.
  • Collaborate across departments to improve packaging strategy, share trading insights, and make the entire sales process more effective.

Who You Are:

  • You hold a degree in business, supply chain, aviation, or a related field.
  • You bring 7–10 years of experience in USM trading, surplus material sales, or the aviation aftermarket.
  • You have a strong network and trusted relationships within the USM trader community.
  • You know how to structure, negotiate, and close profitable USM deals—and you’ve done it successfully.
  • You understand material trace requirements, airworthiness, and inventory management inside and out.
  • You combine business acumen with strong analytical thinking to make smart, data-driven decisions.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, and you manage stakeholders with ease.
  • You’re fluent in English, and if you speak additional languages, that’s a great bonus.
  • You bring a high level of intercultural awareness and enjoy working across diverse teams and markets.
