They are seeking a Senior Account Director to lead a sector of the business with full autonomy. The successful candidate will drive growth by managing key customer relationships, mentoring account teams, and developing strategic plans to expand accounts and increase profitability. This senior leadership role will also involve supporting business development initiatives, holding P&L responsibility, and ensuring best-in-class project delivery.

The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute, dynamic leader with a proven track record in client services or sales management, ideally in retail manufacturing or creative production environments.

Job Role

  1. Lead and grow a business sector with full ownership of strategic accounts and revenue goals
  2. Oversee account teams, driving performance, development, and customer excellence
  3. Create and execute account growth strategies, including new business development
  4. Hold P&L accountability for a business unit (target: £3m+ annual turnover)
  5. Maintain and develop high-value client relationships, ensuring long-term partnerships
  6. Represent the business in client meetings, tenders, and presentations with authority and professionalism
  7. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (design, estimating, production, logistics)
  8. Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems, and margin optimisation
  9. Coach, manage, and evaluate team members, including conducting appraisals and performance management
