They are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a strong commercial mindset to help optimise purchasing, supplier relationships and project efficiencies.
In this role, you will source materials, analyse costs, negotiate with suppliers and support manufacturing operations by ensuring the right products are delivered on time and at the best value. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay calm under pressure, and bring creative problem-solving to day-to-day challenges. Collaboration is key, you’ll work closely with operations, production and department heads to maintain capacity, streamline workflows and support a positive team culture.
Job Role- Source materials and components to support ongoing manufacturing projects.
- Analyse spend data to identify savings and improve overall efficiency.
- Evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and contracts, and prepare tenders.
- Review project documentation and maintain accurate purchasing data.
- Propose buy-vs-make decisions and present recommendations.
- Engage suppliers early to secure availability of materials and services.
- Report on project savings and support value-enhancement initiatives.
- Produce estimates and provide cover for the Estimating Manager.
