Strabane & District Caring Services is seeking compassionate people to provide support and assistance to individuals in their homes. Domiciliary Carers work as part of a team to provide personal and domestic care to adults at risk including the frail, elderly and those with mental and physical health issues in their own homes. This position is perfect for caring & compassionate individuals who would love to make a difference to people's daily lives.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - FULL TRAINING IS PROVIDED! (£150 Joining Bonus)
Strabane & District Caring Services has part-time (16 hour & 20 hour) contracts available for Domiciliary Carers who will provide care in the community in either the CITYSIDE or WATERSIDE AREAS of Derry/Londonderry, and Strabane area. Great flexibility for those seeking a good work/life balance or a part-time role!
- PART-TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
- Morning/Lunch Run: 7am-2pm
- Tea Run: 2.30pm-6.30pm
- Bed Run: 7pm-11pm
FULL-TIME: Morning/Lunch & Bed Rotas are 4 days x 3 days
- Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun
- Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri
HIGHLY COMPETITIVE WAGES!
- RATE OF PAY:
- Monday-Friday for Morning/Lunch and Afternoon (Tea) runs: £13.00 PER HOUR
- Monday-Thursday Bed (Evening) runs: £13.15 PER HOUR
- Weekends: Friday Nights and Saturday/Sunday (all runs): £14.50 PER HOUR
- PLUS Mileage at 35p per Mile (T&Cs apply)
- PLUS £150 Joining Bonus (T&Cs apply)
Qualifications/Experience:
- Essential:
- A full valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes.
- Good written and oral communication.
- Work as part of a team.
- Understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
- Able to promote and deliver personal care.
- Able to promote dignity and respect in care delivery.
- Carers must be flexible and able to cover additional hours when necessary.
- Desirable:
- 6 months experience in formal care setting.
- NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent.
- NISCC registered or willing to undertake if successful.
- Knowledge of domiciliary care minimum standards.
Successful applicants must be willing to carry out Enhanced Access NI check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Strabane & District Caring Services. This will depend on the information provided and obtained from disclosure certificate, as well as the position applied for. Access NI Code of Practice is available from.
