Strabane & District Caring Services is seeking compassionate people to provide support and assistance to individuals in their homes. Domiciliary Carers work as part of a team to provide personal and domestic care to adults at risk, including the frail, elderly and those with mental and physical health issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal and domestic care to clients in their homes.
- Support clients with daily living activities, including mobility, hygiene, meal preparation, and personal care.
- Assist with medication reminders and health monitoring as required.
- Promote dignity, respect, and autonomy in all care delivery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and work as part of a team.
Schedule & Pay
- Part‑time contracts available (16‑hour & 20‑hour).
- Morning/Lunch & Afternoon (Tea) runs (Mon‑Fri): £13.00 per hour.
- Bed runs (Mon‑Thu): £13.15 per hour.
- Weekends (Fri‑Sat‑Sun): £14.50 per hour.
- Mileage: 35p per mile.
- Joining bonus: £150 (T&Cs apply).
Qualifications & Experience
- Full valid driving licence and access to transport.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Team working ability.
- Understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
- Ability to promote and deliver personal care and dignity.
- Flexible availability to cover additional hours.
- Desirable: 6 months experience in a formal care setting.
- Desirable: NVQ Level 2 in care or equivalent.
- Desirable: NISCC registration or willingness to undertake upon successful application.
- Knowledge of domiciliary care minimum standards.
- Willingness to undergo Enhanced Access NI check.
