Tasks

  • Development of local Stakeholder Management Plans required as part of Land Access arrangements.
  • Development and implementation of local communication and engagement, event and visit plans, and provide support for community events.
  • Support the Senior Engagement Manager in the development & implementation of the project.
  • Communications and Stakeholder Engagement strategy, and be responsible for the localstakeholder management plans for key stakeholders and community engagement, ensuringcoordination and quality control of all communications.
  • Assist the Senior Engagement Manager in ensuring the project works are carried out in accordance with relevant U&As and other 3rd Party Agreements and within specified timescales, including collaborating with others to deliver consistency and ‘Best for Programme’ outcomes.
  • Work as part of the Community Engagement team to ensure consistency of information to stakeholders, the client and the wider community.
  • Work closely with the UK Communications team to keep them updated and informed of all forthcoming stakeholder and engagement activities and any potential reputational issues.
  • Work closely with the Project team to support the development of a schedule of construction information for the client, wider community and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Draft letters and newsletters for local communities and stakeholders and arrange distribution.
  • Attend regular liaison meetings with project colleagues, the client and other contractors to ensure sharing of best practices, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in managing proactive and reactive press and stakeholder enquiries.
  • Monitor and record the Company’s and Project’s media coverage on the project and local/regional area.

Qualifications

  • Business or related Degree.
  • Construction Communications Experience.
  • Community Engagement or Marketing Experience.
  • Experience in providing communications support to senior management level.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and capable of building strong working relationships.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail is essential.
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and social media.
