Senior Stakeholder Liaison Manager - STRABAG

The Senior Stakeholder Liaison Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the integrated community engagement and public relations strategy for the project, and for coordinating engagement with stakeholders to promote social value and positive project perception.
Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of the integrated community engagement and public relations strategy for the whole project.
- Develop and deliver effective engagement and communications plans for the project within a defined geographic area.
- Liaises between the project, United Utilities and key stakeholders within a defined geographical area, proactively developing productive relationships that deliver benefits for all parties.
- Line manager to a small team of engagement officers and coordinate engagement strategies and practices with key external stakeholders.
- Promoting the delivery of and leading on social value and community investment initiatives.
- Engage proactively with the interface and delivery teams to review construction impacts and minimise effects on stakeholders.
- Support the Projects to promote a positive image of the project and raise public awareness of the benefits of the project.
- Manage the delivery of community engagement events, supporting the projects by drafting materials, delivering training and briefings, undertaking event management such as drop-ins and exhibitions.
- Assist with identifying potentially sensitive situations and with reporting them appropriately within the project and client’s teams, contributing to the development and implementation of effective emergency plans.
- Work collaboratively with the Community Engagement team to coordinate external communications, ensure consistency of information to stakeholders and the wider community, and provide support for community events.
- Work collaboratively with embedded consents specialists to facilitate the securing of consents within the area-based delivery team, including coordinating all stakeholder engagement and reporting on the status of consents.
- Promote excellence in the management of Stakeholder Interfaces to ensure the process is effective and continuously improved.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships and effective channels of communication in a pressurised and highly time sensitive environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Problem solving, facilitation and negotiation skills
- Previous experience working on a large scale infrastructure project ideal
- Membership of relevant professional body
