STRABAG UK is seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to support the delivery of a major Transmission & Distribution framework based in Stafford and sites spanning across the country. This role is central to ensuring that all works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across complex infrastructure projects that support the UK’s energy network.
Requirements
- Surveillance of activities supporting the Project Quality Plan and Contractors Quality Plans / Inspection and Test Plans
- Manage and support Project teams in the development of Inspection Test Plans/Quality Checklists
- Work closely with the site engineers to ensure the Quality process is being carried out on site.
- Manage and carry out regular inspections/audits to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Quality Policy, Procedures and other stated requirements.
- Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Company procedures and Contract Requirements
- Coordinate and manage closure of non-conformities or performance improvement actions.
- Provide Quality input into the Supplier pre-qualification process where required.
- Review of documentation such as Quality Plans, including documents originated by Contractors.
- Provide Quality support to the project / Client as required.
What matters to us
- HNC/HND/Degree qualified or relevant experience in Quality Management.
- Relevant experience and qualifications for working with High Voltage / Low Voltage transmission & distribution systems
- Experience in Quality Management Systems.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in standard computer programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent time management skills to ensure that all work is prioritised to meet project requirements.
- Team player with ability to coach and mentor others as required.
