About Graduate Programme
The STRABAG UK Graduate Programme has been designed to provide you with powerful development and experience, giving you an incredible start to your career with us. It starts with your induction week, held offsite, where together, we focus on communication, teamwork and connection. You will learn more about yourself, your colleagues and the business. You will also be introduced to your mentor who will be there to support you throughout. The STRABAG UK Graduate Programme is 15 months in duration and offers industry leading development. It is intense but hugely rewarding and on successful completion, you will receive accreditations and qualifications from industry recognised bodies such as: The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Association for Project Management (APM), Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals (ISEP), British Tunnelling Society (BTS), The Institute of Leadership (IOL). You will also begin your journey with professional associations such as The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Recruitment & Selection Process
Our graduate selection process shall comprise of the following stages: Application, Online assessment, Shortlisting, Graduate Assessment Centre.
Role Requirements
- Carry out site visits and research relevant planning policies
- Comply with all relevant policies and procedures
- Help in the preparation of relevant planning applications and associated documentation
- Keep track of planning policy changes, methods and best practices, bringing relevant changes into the workplace
- Maintain accurate records of all activities
- Support community engagement and community consultation processes
- Support coordination of planning tasks with project delivery teams
- Support with regular assurance activity to monitor compliance
- Support with the management of consents
- Work with internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire planning process
Requirements
- Minimum 2:1 in Civil Engineering
- No more than 12 months work experience
- Good communication and teamwork skills with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project)
- Hard working with a positive can-do attitude
