About the Graduate Programme

The STRABAG UK Graduate Programme is 15 months in duration and offers industry leading development. It is intense but hugely rewarding and on successful completion, you will receive accreditations and qualifications from industry recognised bodies such as:

  • The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
  • Association for Project Management (APM)
  • Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals (ISEP)
  • British Tunneling Society (BTS)
  • The Institute of Leadership (IOL)

You will also begin your journey with professional associations such as The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Role Requirements

  • Assisting in specification, procurement, implementation and safe operations of all electrical systems required for project delivery
  • Coordinate electrical distribution systems requirements across all relevant construction sites
  • Enable compliance with safe systems of works
  • Ensure electrical commissioning and fault‑finding on relevant machinery and equipment
  • Ensure MSVs electrical commissioning and fault‑finding
  • Maintain all records of inspections and maintenance (planned & unplanned)
  • Participate & support in implementation of a planned preventative maintenance scheme and oversee the spare parts management, including the correct stock level of electrical consumables
  • Support in the management of specialist subcontractors undertaking electrical works on site
  • Support all electrical system installations
  • Support in implementation of the electrical operating safety procedures, including safe systems of work, risk assessments & method statements and task briefings associated with electrical distribution
