Responsibilities

  • Conduct, advise and, where required, lead Social Value (SV) capture on a project level.
  • Support the project team in implementing company management systems and provide advice and support to the wider business as required.
  • Advise and support Project Management and Supervisors in discharging their responsibilities towards Social Value delivery & capture and respond to queries or correspondence on Social Value issues.
  • Collect and analyse data associated with the social, economic, and environmental impact of the Project.
  • Quantify and report on the social, economic, and environmental impact of the Project.
  • Ensure employees are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities and understand the requirements of the STRABAG ESMS.
  • Support work‑winning elements related to Social Value, drafting PQQ & ITT responses, developing programmes and coordinating with the wider & multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Undertake regular Social Value assurance activity to monitor compliance with STRABAG Social Value procedure.
  • Undertake progress reviews of project commitments in relation to Social Value delivery and report to Line Manager.
  • Develop action plans for Social Value delivery.
  • Provide advice and guidance, and where necessary, outline statutory requirements for mandated SV delivery.
  • Assist in delivery of the UK Environment and Sustainability strategy.
  • Set standards and lead by example in the management of Social Value capture.
  • Support the Head of Environment and Director of Environment & Sustainability in the delivery of the Group Assurance Programme.
  • Support in the development of stakeholder relations.
  • Disseminate information issued by the Head of Environment and Director of Environment & Sustainability, including changes to legislation, to relevant employees.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience gained within Social Value in the construction industry.
  • Level 4 accredited qualification in Social Value, Social Sustainability, CSR or a similar field (or experience equivalent to level 4).
  • Experience with quantifying social value activities.
  • Practitioner Member of ICRS / ISEP (or similar).
  • Full driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Good understanding of sustainability frameworks, policies and legislation relevant to the construction industry.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis.
