Responsible for the shaft sinking works on site, taking a significant role in delivery as well as managing aspects of time, cost and quality.
~ Planning and delivering of site set up for segmental lining and SCL shaft sinking works.
~ Planning and carrying out of SCL trials.
~ Day to day work site coordination and planning to ensure the works are carried out safely and efficiently.
~ Reporting to Sub Agent / Site Agent.
~ Managing and upskilling of shift engineers.
~ Work with the construction and quality teams to complete Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for the control of the works ensuring that all necessary documentation and check sheets are produced in a timely manner.
~ Procurement of Plant, Materials and Equipment required for each site.
~Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors attendance.
~ Management of non-conformance reporting through to.
~ Provide support, assistance, and information to other teams as necessary such as Community Relations, Highways, and Logistics.
~ Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
~ Ensure that the Health Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce and implemented.
~ Work collaboratively with the UU team and other contractors, subcontractors works packages to achieve the overall project goals.
~ Managing the supply chain to ensure that they deliver in an efficient way and in accordance with the Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
~ Skills card - CSCS Card (relevant type).
Degree / HND in Civil Engineering.
SSSTS/SMSTS (relevant type).
Knowledge of Project Procedures.
IT literacy Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and construction documents.
