Job Description: Assistant Environmental Advisor at STRABAG UK Ltd
- Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint (essential)
- Experience working on fast-moving projects, with multiple interfaces, within a technical delivery team (essential)
- Proactive attitude (essential)
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer in Civil/Structural engineering or Oil and Gas will also be considered
- Experience managing a temporary works process (preferred)
- Previous experience in Temporary Works design or Civil/Structural design (circa 4 years’ experience or more, preferred but not essential)
- Experience with Bentley Assetwise, Bentley Projectwise, EMT (preferred)
- Membership of relevant professional body (CEng MICE or CEng IStructE, preferred)

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Temporary Works Design Briefs ensuring actual site conditions are adequately captured
- Ensure design deliverables are coordinated in a timely manner to suit the programme with in-house design or supplier/subcontractors
- Maintain the document/design control process and prepare/review relevant documentation templates and processes
- Produce and maintain a Temporary Works register
- Classify and include permanent works acting in a temporary condition or supporting temporary loads as Temporary Works in the register
- Liaise and coordinate with internal and external designers to ensure timely submission of design deliverables
- Coordinate with document control to upload and distribute design documents
- Identify and manage key technical aspects within each design, as directed by the Temporary Works Design Manager
- Review temporary works designs for sufficiency and carry out required design checks
- Review risks identified by permanent works designers and incorporate these into the design briefs
- Ensure on-site supervision receives full design details and consider these in method statements
- Check proposed site changes against original design and take appropriate actions
- Regularly report on design status, focusing on programme adherence
- Work with Temporary Works Supervisors to ensure maintenance, permits, and safe systems of work are in place
- Support the preparation of the Health and Safety file
