STRABAG UK are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of projects within the industrial, logistics, and high-rise sectors.

Required

  • Provenexperience in large build construction/Industrial, logistical or high-rise projects
  • Abilityto produce, implement and manage safe systems of work for constructionprocedures.
  • Abilityand confidence to communicate and present to Top Level Management, Seniorlevel clients Sub Contractors and public.
  • Anunderstanding of the commercial issues in undertaking constructionprojects.
  • Degreeor equivalent in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Knowledgeof Company policy and procedures including safety and environment relatedissues.
  • Successfulexperience as a section / trade foreman.
  • Demonstrationof knowledge and practical application of the set up and day to dayrunning of a Construction site.

About the role

  • Weare seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager tolead the successful delivery of major industrial, logistical and high-rise projectsacross the UK.

This role is central to ensuring that projects aredelivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards ofquality and sustainability.

  • Providingsite-based leadership for all construction and installation operations; promoting Health & Safety management, construction best practice andmanagement of site construction resources in close liaison with the Project Manager.
  • Our Build head office location is Shirley however, the initial project location will be Lincoln and other UK wide sites so a willingness to travel is required.

Requirements

  • Lead/ Promote high standards of HSEQ on your project and monitor / ensurecompany policies and procedures are in place in accordance with the CPSand statutory requirements.

Act when required.

  • Ensurethat the quality of work is to the specified standards set out in the ER's/ British Standards and that the site team are closely monitoring thequality of work to minimise defects at PC.

Empower the Project Team toraise non-conformances through ITP and Fusion Live.

Ensure that allreported defects are rectified promptly during the progress of works onsite and ultimately complete all PC snags within 2 weeks of PC.

  • Ensureall new employees, including sub-contract employees, are instructed on STRABAG safety, environmental and quality requirements, including projectrequirements.
  • Maintainand regularly update the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan andassociated Management Plans.

Lead, promote and empower the STRABAGbehavioural safety culture with Staff, Supply Chain and Client.

  • Ensure the STRABAG
  • Project Team and Sub-Contractors are aware of their responsibilities for thecontract and that all their operations are planned to deliver a safesystem of work.

Understand the roles and responsibilities of STRABAG inrelation to the CDM Regulations.

  • Prepare, circulate and monitor 2 weekly look-ahead Sub-Contractor programmes.
  • Produceweekly Sub-Contractor progress meetings and formal distribution of meetingminutes.
  • Maintain Target Construction Programme.
  • Carryout statistical reporting (hours worked, incident reporting, wasterecords, etc.).
  • Ensuredaily lookahead shift Supervisors' meetings are carried out and recorded.
  • Contributeto buildability and value engineering based on extensive skills andexperience.
  • Monitorsite activity progress against weekly, fortnightly and overall programmetarget dates.
  • Ensurethat all Site Supervisors including Sub-Contractors are aware of theirresponsibilities for the project.
  • Hasfull input and ownership of resources and material aspects for siteforecasts including controlling Plant and Labour.
  • Whererequired, this will include preparation of site purchase orders / materialrequisitions and plant orders to align with STRABAG procedures.
  • Capableof programming and delivering a project up to the value of £5m on time, within budget and to the required quality when required.
