  • Bachelor\’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a similar field / or equivalent of 1-2 years relevant finance or accounting experience in any industry
  • 1-2 years relevant finance or accounting experience in any industry
  • Software Proficiency: MS Office Suite: Intermediate | MS Excel: Intermediate to Advanced | Financial / Accounting Software: Intermediate
  • Communication skills, confident to come up with new ideas
  • Team-player able to work in a team
  • Self-motivated and able to work alone in a project mobilisation stage

Accountabilities

  • Process supplier invoices on a daily basis when received. Ensure GL coding is correct including tax status
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Raise sales invoices and monitor aged debt, chase any outstanding invoices when they become due
  • Raise internal recharge invoices, obtaining information from other departments
  • Manage various excel datasets to support our recharging process
  • Preparing audit evidence, obtaining evidence from other departments
  • Reconcile cash receipts to the Sales Ledger and communicate this to our shared services function (BRVZ)
  • Monitor the project employee IT asset list and investigate any user inconsistency reporting
  • Contribute towards the internal project financial reports, asset reporting, or any ad-hoc reporting requirements
  • Work with Project / Business Unit / Subdivision Commercial Controllers
  • Support the project accounts team with bespoke financial reports as requested

Skills

  • Able to work proactively within a team environment and independently
  • Not afraid to challenge current ways of working and suggest new ideas
  • Able to use Excel – basic formulas, lookups, and pivots
  • Building strong relationships with external departments – commercial project teams, procurement, IT, office admin
  • Can adapt when plans change
  • Can identify risks to the project finances e.g., outstanding supplier invoices affecting future cash flow
  • Looking to develop as a finance professional, continue studying and focus on commercial aspects of finance
  • Understands the importance of data protection

Others

  • Participate in internal and external financial audits and ensure proper close-out of observations, non-compliance, etc.
  • Liaise and closely coordinate with the corporate (BRVZ) External Finance and Internal Accounting Teams
  • Liaise with Commercial Controlling department to help implement new processes
