What do you need to apply?
In line with the apprenticeship provider, you require to have English Language and Mathematics at Grade C/Level 4 or above, or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2. You must fulfil our GCSE entry requirements as well as one of the requirements listed below:
- UCAS Tariff Points – 104 points.
- GCE A Levels - BCC or above.
- BTEC National Diploma - MMM or above.
- BTEC Higher National Diploma – Pass in a related subject or entry to Level 5. Related subjects include Architecture, Construction, Civil Engineering, Building Studies, Estate Management.
- Foundation Degree – Pass in a related subject for entry to level 5. Related subjects include Architecture, Construction, Civil Engineering, Building Studies, Estate Management.
- Other Qualification – Degree in cognate subject for Level 5 entry.
Your contribution to our company
What you’ll be doing:
- As a Quantity Surveying Apprentice at STRABAG UK, you’ll be working alongside talented and driven individuals towards the execution of the HARP Project (Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme). This will include:
- Working towards advancing your financial, technical and managerial construction knowledge mixing hands-on experience with one day a week education with the apprenticeship provider.
- Supporting senior commercial employees with a variety of tasks including cost control, forecasting and reporting, analysing tenders, and negotiating and administering subcontract accounts.
- Benefit from field visits and real-world scenarios on HARP, getting a real feel for the construction lifecycle.
- Dedicate allocated time per week towards your education, working towards the 5-year Apprenticeship programme transferring your real-life learnings towards your studies.
About The HARP Project:
HARP is a major scheme to upgrade and maintain drinking water supplies across Cumbria, Lancashire, and Greater Manchester for future generations. The Haweswater Aqueduct is a 110km pipeline that runs from the Lake District, through Lancashire, and into Greater Manchester.
