Design Coordinator

Minimum Requirements

• 1-3 years’ experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and design software such as AutoCAD and TEDDS
• Working knowledge of regulations
• Background in highways desirable
• Construction/Design experience: 2 years (degree) or 5 years (HND/HNC)

Role Responsibilities

• Support Design Managers in implementing efficient design processes and communication
• Track design progress within programme constraints
• Liaise with external and in-house design teams
• Monitor and record design documentation, changes, and approvals
• Review submissions for quality and sufficiency
• Ensure design capability for review and checking
• Maintain design folders and registers
• Participate in design coordination meetings and record outcomes
• Prepare minutes and schedules for review meetings and workshops
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and design changes
• Assist team members with engineering input and site implementation
• Maintain drawings and assist with sketching/CAD work
• Attend site visits and liaise with site teams
• Support health and safety documentation
• Demonstrate interpersonal and assertiveness skills to ensure timely delivery
• Perform small-scale in-house temporary design tasks
