The Communications Officer is to support the successful delivery of HARP by developing and implementing targeted internal and external communications activities in line with the overall project communications strategy.
Qualifications
- Communication Experience - minimum 5 years post degree.
- Experience providing communications support to Senior Management level.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven ability of building strong working relationships.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail is essential - including good writing and grammar skills.
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and social media.
- Strong coordination skills and ability to manage communications activities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering a bespoke project communications plan, including internal and external activities, in alignment with STRABAG’s corporate communications policies and the project-wide communications strategy.
- Working closely with the Senior Engagement Manager, project Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and client communications team to coordinate all communications activities.
- Creating and maintaining a project and engagement communications grid to track upcoming milestones, good news stories, and required actions.
- Producing regular communications materials, including but not limited to: A bi-monthly internal newsletter, presentation material for community engagement events, templates for residents’ letters, community newsletters, and other stakeholder communications.
- Initiating, creating and producing accessible content (press releases, social media posts, articles, newsletters).
- Managing proactive and reactive dealings with the media (national and trade press) in close cooperation with corporate communications colleagues.
- Monitoring and recording STRABAG/Cascade Infrastructure project media coverage.
- Overseeing the consistent application of the STRABAG corporate design and brand across all project communications.
- Ensuring coordination and quality control for all project related communications materials.
- Supports major events and visits where required.
