We have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our growing HARP project team in the North West. This is the perfect time to become a part of the largest critical infrastructure project in the UK.

- Degree Qualified (or experience equivalent to a degree).
- Graduate or Chartered Member of IOSH.
- Internal Auditor ISO 45001.
- 5 years Health & Safety management experience within the construction industry.
- Fully aware of regulatory, legislative and Company requirements.
Implementing and maintaining the Strabag Health & Safety Management System within the Business Unit, ensuring compliance. Reviewing and evaluating the Group Health & Safety Management System processes and documentation and supporting in the development of the system. Ensure all Business Unit / Contract Health & Safety statistics are collated in a timely manner and submitted for reporting purposes. Review accident and incident statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop and implement Project / Contract Safety campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the Business Unit. Co-ordinating Health & Safety input on Business Unit contracts. Managing the workload of the Health & Safety Advisors and ensuring the Project Manager and employees are aware of their Health & Safety responsibilities. Ensuring the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan, associated Procedures and Instructions are in place, circulated and complied with. Planning and executing internal audits as required within the Business Unit and Projects to ensure compliance with Client / Project requirements. Undertaking inspections and site tours to ensure compliance with environmental policies and procedures. Liaison with statutory authorities, Clients and other stakeholders on Health & Safety issues. Ensure accidents/incidents are reported to the Health & Safety Director in a timely manner according to Group procedures. Investigate and produce reports on incidents/accidents, and review reports submitted by team members to ensure appropriate corrective/preventative actions are identified and implemented. Stopping work with the agreement of the Project Manager any time HSSE management of the works is in question. Recruitment, resourcing and development of health & safety personnel within the Business Unit. Provide support and advice on relevant health and safety legislation to the Project / Contract to ensure compliance.
