Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Technician to join our Great Yarmouth base reporting to the Production Manager. The ideal applicant will hold a relevant engineering background and have previous experience in a manufacturing environment. The applicant will need to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and be able to confidently make objective decisions. Technical competency in engineering principles, techniques and practices is key.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Manufacturing and testing electrical and electronic assemblies
- Comprehending electrical wiring diagrams
- Following company build and test procedures
- Assembly of systems, sub-components and panel wiring
- Utilising Oscilloscopes and other electronics test equipment
- Testing, fault finding and repairing basic Printed Circuit Boards to component level
- Assembly, wiring, testing and fault-finding modules at system level
- Assembly and inspection of underwater pressure vessel seals and connectors
- Generation of technical reports on faulty & damaged items
- Undertaking light mechanical assembly
Requirements of Role:
- Previous experience in a similar role essential
- Ability to work safely and organised in a production environment
- Willingness to develop practical and technical skills
- Demonstrate a good working understanding of products at system level
- Have sufficient working knowledge of PC/IT based systems: MS Office, supplier websites, HyperTerminal etc.
- Ability to work as an individual on systems and sub-assemblies
