We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented Tooling Technician to support the preparation, maintenance and testing of subsea mechanical tooling and associated equipment. The Tooling Technician will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, servicing and fault finding tools to ensure they meet operational and safety standards. This role requires strong technical aptitude, a proactive approach to equipment readiness and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Based in Aberdeen UK, the position may require occasional regional travel and offshore support.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for inspection, testing, repair and preparation of ROV Tooling
  • Accurately completes service reports, inspection records and equipment documentation
  • Commissioning new ROV tooling equipment
  • Ensuring hire equipment is labelled and identified
  • Preparing and testing ROV equipment for hire
  • Inspecting, testing and servicing of ROV equipment returning from hire
  • Fault reporting about missing/damaged equipment
  • Carrying out repairs to ROV equipment
  • Provide technical support to clients
  • Attend mobilisations and site interface testing
  • Maintain the stock control system used for spares and consumables
  • Package equipment suitable for transport requirements
  • Complete clients commercial invoice records
  • Adhere to STR’s Health, Safety, Environmental
