We’re looking for a proactive and detail oriented Graduate Technician to support our rental operations both onshore and offshore. This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate or Trainee level candidate, ideally with an HND in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification, looking to develop hands on experience in a technical environment. The role involves preparing, testing, and maintaining equipment to ensure it meets the highest standards before deployment, as well as inspecting and reporting on returned assets. You’ll also support offshore mobilisations, including equipment setup, troubleshooting, and assisting survey teams, all while adhering to strict QHSE standards. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical foundation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Rental (onshore)
- Preparing and testing of equipment prior to rental and post hire.
- Function testing, software / firmware updates, cable integrity.
- Ensuring completeness of equipment against packing lists.
- Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment returned from hire.
- Visual inspection, function testing and writing technical reports.
- Identification of in-house or external repair tasks.
- Preparing all assets to ensure they are ready for delivery to clients at short notice.
- General warehouse and delivery duties.
- Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment on mobilisation.
- Setup, interface, function test on mobilisation.
- Troubleshoot to successful conclusion.
- Assist offshore survey team as required.
- Demobilise, check, inspect and document equipment prior to dispatch back to base.
- Attend Offshore training and undergo an Offshore medical.
Requirements of Role:
- HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to follow procedures and processes correctly.
- Ability to work as a team taking directions.
- Ability to work independently and confidently when representing the company at client premises.
- Have a flexible and pro-active approach to working and learning.
