Str VC is building a high-signal platform and community around strategic venture capital. We work closely with founders, venture partners, CVCs, and senior operators to help high-potential startups connect with the right strategic investors. Our focus is not just on capital, but on relevance: who can actually help a company through distribution, partnerships, commercial insight, and strategic context.

We care a lot about signal. We are not trying to look active by pushing volume. We would rather spend time on a smaller number of genuinely strong companies and pair that with thoughtful analysis, ecosystem insight, and meaningful engagement with our network.

We’re looking for a Venture Analyst to work closely with Str VC across deal sourcing, founder screening, investment analysis, operations, and community engagement. This is an early-team role for someone who wants real responsibility and market exposure early, rather than a conventional internship with a narrow scope. You will work alongside venture partners and investors across Europe and North America, with direct exposure to how strong opportunities are sourced, screened, and discussed, particularly across AI and fintech.

This is not a passive role, and it is not just an admin position. You will be speaking with founders, helping shape internal views on companies, supporting the day-to-day running of the platform, and contributing to how Str VC shows up in the market.

What You'll Do:

  • Source high-quality startups through outbound research, ecosystem mapping, warm outreach, and in-person events.
  • Conduct first calls with founders to understand what they are building, where they are in their journey, what they are raising, and whether there is a real strategic angle.
  • Write short investment notes and internal memos based on founder calls, decks, and market research.
  • Help manage CRM, pipeline tracking, scheduling, follow-ups, and other operational workflows.
  • Support branding, content, and community engagement across the Str VC network.
  • Contribute insight notes, market observations, and thoughtful analysis that keep the community engaged without lowering the quality bar on deals.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Strong interest in venture, startups, and how investors think.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable speaking with founders and asking thoughtful questions.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple moving parts.
  • Curious, thoughtful, and able to form a point of view.
  • Willing to do both high-judgment work and the operational work required to help build something early.
  • Excited by the idea of joining a small platform at a formative stage.
  • You do not need a traditional finance or venture background. We care more about sharp thinking, strong instincts, good communication, and follow-through than a perfect CV.

What You'll Get:

  • Direct exposure to venture partners and investors across Europe and North America.
  • Visibility into high-quality startups and live opportunities, especially across AI and fintech.
  • Hands-on experience speaking with founders and assessing what makes a company interesting.
  • Practice writing investment notes and internal analyses.
  • Exposure to strategic investor and CVC thinking in real time.
  • A front-row seat to how an early-stage venture platform is built from the ground up.

Practical Details:

  • Location: London, UK
  • Type: Part-time
  • Compensation: Unpaid

How to Apply:

Please send a short note on why this role interests you, your LinkedIn, and CV to deals@strvc.com. If useful, you can also include a writing sample, investment note, market map, or anything else that shows how you think.
