What You’ll Do
- Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary design team of 4 design engineers
- Developing innovative design concepts and practical engineering solutions
- Planning design activities with clear work packages and interfaces
- Overseeing 3D models, drawings, calculations, and technical reports
- Managing design documentation and project records
- Driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and better design processes
- Supporting procurement by specifying, costing, and selecting bought-in and manufactured items
- Responsible for planning, managing, and reviewing design work to ensure it meets company procedures, ISO9001 standards
Qualifications / Experience
- Degree in a Mechanical / Structural engineering discipline or relevant
- At least 5+ years’ experience in design
- Experience in software such as AutoCAD or any other relevant software
- Background ideally in marine or subsea sectors
- Strong knowledge of concept design
- Background in mechanical / electrical / hydraulics is desirable
