- We are looking for an experienced
TIG Welder to join a specialist manufacturing business in Wellingborough, working on the production of high-precision Coriolis flow meters.
The successful candidate will initially work days while completing training and welding coding before moving onto the backshift.
Day shift during training
- Monday-Thursday: 07:00-16:15
Backshift
- Monday-Thursday: 15:30-00:30
- The
20% shift premium will apply once you move onto the backshift.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG weld stainless steel to a high standard.
- Work from drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Carry out pressure testing, helium leak testing and bead blasting.
- Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area tidy.
- Support inspections, continuous improvement and other production activities.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience welding stainless steel to a high standard.
- Experience with welder coding to EN287-1, ASME IX and/or PED.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Desirable
Experience with 316, Duplex or Super Duplex, MIG welding, automated lathes or turntables, and a recognised engineering qualification.
Overtime may be required at short notice.
