We are looking for a Packer / Material Handler to join a busy manufacturing environment.You will be responsible for handling materials, preparing customer orders and ensuring products are packed and ready for shipment.
Working Monday to Thursday, 6:30am - 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Locate and pick materials and supplies from production orders
- Load and unload pallets and individual cartons from vehicles
- Pack and label finished stock and customer orders ready for dispatch
- Follow company procedures relating to packing, material handling, quality and safety
- Work as part of a team or independently to meet daily targets
- Move between different workstations as required
- Keep the working area clean, tidy and safe
- Carry out other duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and follow information accurately
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of stock or inventory control is advantageous
- Physically able to lift and move heavy materials
- Forklift experience would be beneficial, but full training can be provided
