STQ Partners are partnering with a global leader in industrial pneumatic solutions to find their next Business Development Manager. They are a key part of the Pneumatic Performance Platform, specializing in air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, and air motors. With a strong reputation across EMEA, they serve a wide range of industries, including industrial manufacturing, healthcare, beverage, energy, and environmental applications.
My client is in a growth phase and needs a strategic, technically minded BDM to take ownership of the UK and Ireland market. This is a home-based role with real autonomy and the backing of an established international group.
This is not just a sales job; it’s a strategic business development role. You will be the driving force behind identifying and securing new opportunities, building high-value partnerships, and managing projects from start to finish. You’ll work closely with customers, internal teams, and group-level stakeholders to execute initiatives that support long-term growth across EMEA.
The role comes with a requirement for up to 30% national travel, so you’ll need to be comfortable working across borders and cultures.
- Drive Innovation: Engage with customer R&D and product development teams to capture Voice of Customer (VOC) insights. Your insights will directly inform product and commercial strategy.
- Execute the Plan: Support mid- and long-term strategic planning while executing annual operating plans to meet financial targets—orders, revenue, margins, and receivables.
- Collaborate Across the Business: Work with global market development teams and other business units to deliver integrated solutions and drive mutual growth.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred. ~7+ years of technical business development or B2B sales experience with a track record of success. ~ Familiarity with CRM tools is preferred. ~ Proven project management experience, including leading cross-functional initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Strong customer focus with sharp business acumen and excellent relationship-building skills. Analytical and organized, with the ability to manage complex projects and priorities. Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English.
