With a strong reputation across EMEA, they serve a wide range of industries, including industrial manufacturing, healthcare, beverage, energy, and environmental applications.
My client is in a growth phase and needs a strategic, technically minded BDM to take ownership of the UK and Ireland market. This is a home-based role with real autonomy and the backing of an established international group.
The Role
This is not just a sales job; it’s a strategic business development role. You will be the driving force behind identifying and securing new opportunities, building high-value partnerships, and managing projects from start to finish. You’ll work closely with customers, internal teams, and group-level stakeholders to execute initiatives that support long-term growth across EMEA. The role comes with a requirement for up to 30% national travel, so you’ll need to be comfortable working across borders and cultures.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Your Market: Take full responsibility for driving profitable growth in the UK and Ireland. You’ll develop strategic alliances with target customers, understand their technical applications, and build compelling value propositions for our blowers, compressors, and vacuum pumps.
- Drive Innovation: Engage with customer R&D and product development teams to capture Voice of Customer (VOC) insights. You’ll lead cross-functional teams to accelerate product launches and secure specifications in new designs.
- Be the Market Expert: Stay ahead of market trends, evolving customer needs, and competitor activity. Your insights will directly inform product and commercial strategy.
- Execute the Plan: Support mid- and long-term strategic planning while executing annual operating plans to meet financial targets—orders, revenue, margins, and receivables.
- Collaborate Across the Business: Work with global market development teams and other business units to deliver integrated solutions and drive mutual growth.
- Build the Pipeline: Create and maintain a strong opportunity funnel aligned with 3-year growth objectives, using an 80/20 approach to prioritize the highest-impact initiatives.

My client is looking for a self-starter with a strong technical foundation and a proven ability to build relationships and win business.
Experience & Background:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of technical business development or B2B sales experience with a track record of success.
- Experience in air compressors, vacuum pumps, or blower markets is a significant advantage.

- A confident negotiator who can influence at all levels, internally and externally.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English.
