Stowhealth is an established GP Practice in Stowmarket, Suffolk. We currently have a vacancy for a part‑time Medical Data Administrator (20‑25 hours per week).

Main duties of the job:

  • Summarise new patient and Lloyd George paper and electronic records.
  • Scan clinical correspondence onto the patients medical records.
  • Read coding relevant information onto the clinical system to include relevant QOF data and clinical information.
  • Record sharing consent and summary care record information.
  • Enter data onto patient records e.g. DNR, smears, ECGs, BP readings, vaccinations etc.
  • Action and process internal and external tasks received.
  • File pathology results as per protocol.
  • Transfer, process and read code correspondence in accordance with the coding protocol.
  • Undertake clinical searches and audits as requested.

Job responsibilities:

  • Enter patient details from the New Patient Questionnaire.
  • Record sharing consent and summary care record information.
  • Scan information onto patient medical records.
  • Read coding relevant information onto the clinical system to include relevant QOF data and clinical information.
  • Enter data onto patient medical records e.g. DNRs, smears, ECGs, vaccinations.
  • Enter daily BP readings into the patient record.
  • Calculate and enter 2‑day HBPM results as per protocol.
  • Summarise new patient LG/electronic records.
  • Action and process tasks internally and from third parties, including degrading data from GP2GP transfers.
  • File pathology results as per protocol.
  • Transfer, process and read code correspondence in accordance with the coding protocol.
  • Collate and enter chronic disease management information for LTC, ensuring recalls are kept up to date.
  • Enter newly diagnosed DM patients into the Retinal Screening Hub database.
  • Undertake clinical searches and audits as requested.
  • Provide cover for annual and sickness leave.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties within the framework of the post as directed by the Practice Manager.

Person Specification:

Experience:

  • Previous experience of working in a medical setting is essential.
  • Previous experience of data coding and note summarising would be an advantage but not essential as training would be given.
