Overview:
Stowen Clean Energy have an immediate vacancy for an experienced site-based Construction Project Manager to join our team. This exciting role involves managing onshore and offshore construction services to a large offshore wind farm construction project. This role will involve supporting the Offshore Wind Farm Developer, alongside suppliers, third parties and Stowen site-based personnel. This position presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to further their career within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Request Management: Managing a wide range of client work requests across the project, including equipment procurement, property lease arrangements, onshore / offshore work scopes, quoting, estimating timelines, reporting, engaging with suppliers and contractors.
- Cost Control & Invoicing: Maintaining full cost control of all spending associated with approved work requests, issuing detailed invoice packages with back up, forecasting project costs, identifying any shortfalls in budget.
- Meetings and Communication: Facilitate meetings with third-party contractors, attend project related meetings as required, lead monthly high-level review meetings.
- Inspection and Compliance: Manage online inspection software to ensure all equipment is registered and inspections are carried to maintain operational availability. Ensure daily progress reports are completed / uploaded to the inspection system and monitor inspection schedules.
- Inventory and Asset Management: Oversee an online asset management system, ensuring that all items are correctly registered, track location of issued assets and monitor usage patterns.
- Team Management: Manage Stowen office-based project team and Stowen offshore personnel assigned to the project.
Requirements:
- At least five years\’ previous experience in a similar Project Management role within the Renewable Wind Sector.
- HNC or equivalent; technical education would be advantageous.
- NEBOSHH or equivalent health and safety qualification would be advantageous.
- Recognised Project Management qualification is essential.
- Commitment to safety standards and protocols in offshore environments.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Full GWO Package, OGUK Medical & Chester Step Medicals would be advantageous.
Working Conditions:
- The role is office based at site in Lowestoft, United Kingdom (Mon-Fri).
- Forty hours per week but flexibility to mobilise offshore, overseas for short durations is required.
- Flexibility to work limited additional hours, if necessary, in support of project operational management.
