The Project Engineer (QHSE) will report to the Project Manager and is responsible for the creation of RAMS through to approval, maintaining the project QMS register, Motion. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of maintenance, snagging works, and defect resolution by managing offshore technician teams. Acting as the central hub for planning, reporting, and communication, the Project Engineer (QHSE) ensures offshore teams are supported, monitored, and aligned with project objectives.

The responsibilities of the Project Engineer (QHSE) include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure alignment with work scopes and priorities.
  • Plan and monitor snagging works, corrective actions, and defect resolution.
  • Track carryover tasks on a day-to-day basis from DPR and update iAuditor.
  • Maintain accurate manifests for personnel and equipment mobilized offshore using the OSEM system.
  • Manage ATW (Authority to Work) processes from onshore, ensuring compliance with site safety protocols.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards across all offshore operations.
  • Verify offshore teams conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and comply with offshore regulations.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for offshore safety or operational issues.
  • Support development and implementation of RAMS, HSE Plans, SSOW, and emergency arrangements.
  • Ensure compilation of daily reports covering offshore activities, progress, and safety observations.
  • Record and update defect reports and snagging lists for ongoing and carryover works (iAuditor).
  • Oversee and update motion/inspection management.
  • Updating HSE Plan and Waste Management Plan as project progresses.
  • Serve as the primary onshore contact for offshore teams for resolution of any issues/concerns.
  • Ensure clear communication of work scopes, priorities, and progress updates.
  • Attend project meetings and provide operational input.
  • Compilation of HSE Statistics, safety cards, safety initiatives/drills etc for monthly HSE report and Aconex.
  • Undertake offshore inspection audits monthly.
  • Prioritise allocations for active teams and maintain clear audit trails.

Pre-requisites:

  • At least five years’ experience in a HSEQ or Offshore Renewables role.
  • NEBOSHH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Reside within daily commuting distance to Lowestoft.
  • Excellent understanding of MS Word and Excel Software Packages.
  • Motion Kinetic and iAuditor Software Package familiarity would be advantageous.
