Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Operations Department, ensuring that all operational activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, client requirements, and project objectives. The role provides leadership to the Operations Team, ensuring responsibilities are fulfilled in line with individual job profiles while acting as the primary communication link between the Leadership Team and operational personnel.
The Operations Manager is accountable for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects within their region, maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, environmental compliance, and commercial performance.

Essential duties and responsibilities

•Lead and manage the Operations Team.
•Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to client requirements.
•Monitor operational performance, quality, and productivity.
•Allocate labour, plant, and resources effectively.
•Manage project budgets and operational costs.
•Chair operational and project review meetings.
•Communicate business objectives from the Leadership Team to Operations.
•Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
•Support recruitment, training, and development of operational staff.
•Promote continuous improvement across quality, safety, and environmental performance.
• Work closely with Commercial, Finance, Procurement, HSEQ, and HR teams.
•Resolve operational issues and make sound commercial decisions.
•Ensure compliance with company procedures, legislation, and client requirements.
•Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required.
•Produce regular operational reports for senior management.

Qualifications

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Experience

3 years in an operational environment

Training

Knowledge of SAGE, MS Word, Excel, Access and Sharepoint
