We are seeking experienced Offshore Renewable Statutory Inspection Technicians to join our team. This role involves a variety of maintenance and inspection tasks on the Transition Pieces (TP) of offshore wind turbines, offshore East Anglia. The Technician will also be required to assist across the Stowen Group as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain Turbine Mounted Safety Equipment.
- Inspect, repair and maintain WTG Lifts.
- Conduct thorough inspections of transition pieces, documenting findings and recommending necessary actions.
- Inspect, repair and maintain Nacelle Cranes / Davit Cranes.
- Identify and rectify any outstanding issues or defects during inspections to maintain the integrity of the wind turbines.
- Inspect WTG anchor points.
- Provide assistance and support during weather days onshore as needed, maintaining communication with offshore teams.
- Be available to assist with work across the Stowen Group as necessary, contributing to teamwork and operational needs.
- Write detailed inspection reports detailing findings and actions taken.
Working Conditions
Role requires offshore work in potentially challenging weather conditions. Will involve physical activities, including working at heights. Flexibility in working hours and shifts will be required.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience as an Inspection Technician within the Renewable Wind Industry.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and best practices in offshore environments.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
- Full GWO BST Training.
- OGUK & Chester step Medicals.
- Valid Statutory Inspection Certificates (TMSE/Lift/Crane) – Competency Training & Assessments will be provided.
- NVQ / C&G Level 3 Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is advantageous but not essential.
