Stowen Clean Energy has an immediate requirement for an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician. Candidates must be local to the Great Yarmouth / Lowestoft area.
Position Overview
The IRATA Rope Access Level 3 Technician shall be responsible for supervising rope access operations, ensuring all working at height is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant standards. The L3 shall be responsible for overseeing L1 and L2 technicians, managing rescue plans, and ensuring adherence to company and industry safety procedures. The IRATA Rope Access Level 3 Supervisor must also be mechanically competent.
Key Rope Access Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise rope access teams (L1 and L2 technicians) during all working-at-height operations.
- Conduct on-site safety briefings and ensure full compliance with IRATA and company procedures.
- Develop and implement site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
- Ensure all rope access equipment is properly inspected, certified, and logged according to regulations.
- Perform pre-use checks and maintain up-to-date records of all rope access equipment.
- Manage and execute rescue procedures when necessary.
- Report and document any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns.
Training Requirements
- GWO BST (all five modules).
- UKOOA Medical & Chester Step.
- GWO Enhanced First Aid.
- Actsafe II Descender Training (advantageous).
