Stowe seeks an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of English. The successful candidate will be a dynamic classroom practitioner with an energetic and forward-thinking approach to teaching English up to and including GCSE and A Level. We are looking for someone who is able to transfer a love of language and literature.
This is a vibrant department and members also often teach across Film, Media and EAL. A willingness to contribute fully to the Department while also adding to the extra-curricular and pastoral life of a busy boarding school is essential.
Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding school with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site.
