An exciting opportunity has arisen for a non-residential Matron to join one of our Boarding Houses. Pastoral care is an integral part of this role, and we are looking for a well-organised, energetic, and flexible person who is good at building relationships with both children and adults. We expect our Matrons to deliver excellent standards of care and supervision, along with warmth and compassion.
The Matron role will also require high levels of administrative and organisational skills to facilitate the smooth running of the house. Competency in ICT literacy is essential. First aid skills are desirable; however, the school will provide training and you must be willing to undertake this.

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding school with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
