At Stowe Family Law, we're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant who's keen to grow their skills, get stuck into management accounts, and make a tangible difference. This isn't just any finance role - it's hands-on, varied, and perfect for someone progressing through their accounting qualification.
You'll be directly involved in preparing accounts, completing month-end tasks, reconciling balances, and supporting budgeting and reporting, all while learning from a supportive team and gaining exposure to real business processes.
What you'll be doing:
- Help prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules, and analyse key cost movements
- Carry out month-end tasks including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, and bad debt provisions
- Perform daily bank and regular balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies
- Support Purchase Ledger with supplier payments, expenses, credit cards, and aged creditors
- Assist with VAT returns, budgeting, audits, and compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules
What you'll bring to the role:
- Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with some exposure to management accounts
- Strong Excel skills; experience with Salesforce or similar systems is a bonus
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to meet reporting deadlines
- Strong analytical ability with accuracy and attention to detail
- Clear communicator, comfortable working across teams
- Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable in a changing environment
