Job Purpose: To provide expert clinical leadership and operational support across a portfolio of nursing homes. The Clinical Regional Support Partner will ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care, supporting Home Managers and clinical teams to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide hands-on clinical support and guidance to nursing teams. Lead by example in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. Support with complex clinical assessments and decision-making. Support clinical teams during preparation for CQC and Local Authority inspection.
- Quality & Compliance: Conduct audits and quality assurance visits across homes. Assist in the development and implementation of action plans following inspections or audits. Ensure compliance with CQC standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Staff Development: Mentor and coach clinical staff to enhance skills and confidence. Deliver training sessions and support induction of new nurses. Identify training needs and elevate to the Home Manager.
- Operational Support: Provide interim clinical leadership during periods of absence or transition. Support with recruitment and retention of nursing staff. Assist in the implementation of new policies, procedures, and systems.
- Resident-Centred Care: Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and compassion. Ensure care plans are person-centred, up-to-date, and reflective of best practice. Engage with residents and families to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with valid NMC pin.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior clinical role within elderly care.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel regularly and work flexibly across multiple sites.
Desirable:
- Experience in a peripatetic or multi-site role.
- Teaching or mentorship qualification.
- Experience with electronic care planning systems.
