I have been instructed on a new permanent role working at a law firm based at Chancery Lane. The role is working on a 1:1 basis but there will need to be some flexibility to assist another solicitor. The hours are 9.30am-5.30pm and they do offer hybrid working (4 days in the office/1 from home).
The Department is looking to recruit an experienced and confident secretary to join the team of six secretaries.
Your key duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Liaising with clients both face to face and over the phone
- Preparing and sewing/binding deeds and Wills
- File opening and compliance support
- Assisting with electronic billing
- Assisting/supporting solicitors, accountants and other fee earners within the department
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- General administrative duties
- Diary management
- Document management
- Maintaining all filing systems effectively
- Audio/copy typing, including digital dictation
- Assisting with electronic bibles

- Fast and accurate typing speed (65 words per minute)
