Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office / 2 days working from home

An exciting newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Assistant / Team Leader to join a leading international law firm based in Liverpool Street.
This is a senior and varied role combining people management, resource planning and hands‑on executive support. You will lead and develop a team of approximately eight EAs while also providing high‑level support to partners, fee earners and other senior stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be a confident people manager with excellent organisational and communication skills, together with a proactive approach to improving processes, embracing technology and developing a high‑performing EA function.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
Line manage a team of approximately eight Executive Assistants, providing leadership, guidance and support. Conduct regular one-to-ones, appraisals and performance reviews. Identify training and development needs and support the ongoing professional development of the team. Foster a collaborative, positive and high‑performing team environment. Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding and integration of new team members. Resource & Workflow Management
Oversee the allocation and prioritisation of work across the EA team. Manage workloads, holiday schedules, rotas and absence cover to ensure consistent levels of support. Monitor capacity and identify potential resourcing issues before they arise. Ensure appropriate EA coverage for partners and senior stakeholders during periods of leave or absence. Senior EA Support
Provide high-level executive support to partners, fee earners and senior stakeholders as required. Manage complex and often competing priorities with discretion and professionalism. Build trusted relationships with senior individuals across the firm. Ensure a consistently high standard of administrative and operational support. Process Improvement & Technology
Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows and ways of working across the EA function. Lead and support the implementation of new processes and initiatives. Champion the effective use of technology and encourage adoption of new systems. Work closely with wider business‑services teams to improve efficiency and collaboration. Stakeholder Management
Develop strong working relationships with partners, fee earners, EAs and wider business‑services teams. Act as a key point of contact for the EA team and represent the function confidently with senior stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective delivery of business support. About You
We are looking for an experienced Senior EA, EA Manager, Team Leader or PA Team Leader who is ready to take on a broader leadership role.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience managing, supervising or leading an EA/PA team. Strong experience supporting senior executives, partners or other senior stakeholders. Excellent organisational and workload‑management skills. Experience managing performance, development, recruitment and onboarding. A proactive approach to process improvement and change. Confidence working with technology and introducing new systems or processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. A calm, professional and solutions‑focused approach. Experience within a law firm or other professional‑services environment would be highly advantageous. Why Join?
