We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support procurement activity across bids and project delivery. The role will involve managing tendering activities, supplier relationships, negotiations, contract support and procurement requirements across complex projects. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial, project and technical teams to deliver procurement strategies, manage subcontract activities and ensure suppliers deliver value, innovation and risk mitigation.
Requirements:
- Strong procurement experience within business winning and project delivery environments.
- Experience leading procurement activity for bids and projects.
- Strong supplier management, sourcing, contracting and negotiation skills.
- Experience drafting and negotiating agreements.
- Ability to manage SME suppliers and build effective stakeholder relationships.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing risk, opportunities and continuous improvement.
- Experience with overseas/export subcontract partners is desirable.
- Background in space, IT, electronics or managed services environments is advantageous.
- Strong communication and IT skills.
- Degree in relevant subject preferred; CIPS Level 5, IACCM or equivalent desirable.
