Lab Technician (build & test)

We are seeking a hands-on Prototype Build & Test Technician to support an exciting R&D environment.
You will build, assemble, modify, and test prototypes, test rigs, and demonstrator systems, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Build and modify assemblies from engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Undertake test and measurement activities using laboratory equipment.
Inspect builds, troubleshoot issues, and support functional testing.
Operate and maintain workshop tools and machinery safely.
Support continuous improvement and design for manufacturability.
Manage laboratory materials, components, and consumables.
Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant workshop environment.
Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or multidisciplinary assembly.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
