Job Description DevOps Manager\n \nLocation: UK (Remote)\n \nEmployment Type: Permanent\n \nThe Role\n \nWe are partnering with a leading luxury retailer to recruit an experienced DevOps Manager to lead the day-to-day operation, support and continuous improvement of its ecommerce and digital platforms.\You will lead and support a DevOps team, remaining close to the technology while overseeing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, security and live service operations.\You will be expected to roll up your sleeves, understand the technical detail, support the team through complex issues and help drive improvements across a fast-moving digital environment with frequent product launches and releases.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n \n * Lead, mentor and develop a DevOps team, managing capacity, priorities and day-to-day delivery.\n \n * Provide hands-on technical leadership across Azure infrastructure, deployment pipelines, automation and operational tooling.\n \n * Oversee the reliability, availability, security and performance of ecommerce and digital platforms across development, test and production environments.\n \n * Support frequent product launches and releases, working closely with Development, Product, Testing, Security and IT teams to ensure platforms are ready for live service.\n \n * Lead incident management, root cause analysis and service improvement activities, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and lessons are applied.\n \n * Manage monitoring and observability, using tools such as Dynatrace or similar platforms to improve visibility, alerting and platform performance.\n \n * Support the implementation of secure networking, CDN and certificate management solutions, including technologies such as Akamai or Cloudflare.\n \n * Maintain operational standards, documentation, runbooks, KPIs and SLOs across the DevOps function.\n \n * Manage third-party suppliers and technology partners, ensuring services meet agreed performance and operational requirements.\n \n * Manage the DevOps on-call rota and ensure appropriate support coverage for production services.\n \n * Identify opportunities to introduce automation, AI-assisted tooling and improved engineering practices across the DevOps function.\n \nEssential Skills & Experience\n \n * Proven experience leading or managing DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or similar technical teams.\n \n * Experience within retail, ecommerce, luxury retail, travel, fintech or other high-volume digital environments.\n \n * Strong hands-on understanding of DevOps practices, with the ability to get involved technically rather than operating purely at a strategic level.\n \n * Strong Microsoft Azure experience across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, serverless, containers and automation.\n \n * Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Azure DevOps and GitHub.\n \n * Good understanding of PowerShell, YAML, Python and/or TypeScript.\n \n * Strong understanding of networking, including DNS, routing, firewalls and load balancing.\n \n * Experience managing enterprise-scale web applications, microservices and high-traffic digital platforms.\n \n * Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Catchpoint or similar.\n \n * Experience managing incidents, problem management, root cause analysis and live production environments.\
