Technical Author - SC Cleared Clearance: Active SC Clearance required Contract: Inside IR35 TBC
We are looking for an experienced Technical Author to work within a highly technical environment, partnering closely with SMEs at the Met Office.
Key responsibilities: Work closely with technical SMEs to understand complex systems and processes. Produce clear, structured technical documentation that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences. Translate highly technical information and jargon into accessible, user-friendly documentation. Document message switching systems, including associated processes, procedures and technical requirements. Review and improve existing documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency and usability. Gather technical information through SME interviews, workshops and existing materials.
Key experience: Proven experience as a Technical Author / Technical Writer. Experience documenting message switching systems is essential. Strong experience working directly with technical SMEs. Excellent ability to simplify complex technical information. Active SC Clearance required. Comfortable working within complex, secure technical environments. TPBN1_UKTJ
