- Power & Electrical Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Power & Electrical Engineer to support a nationwide telecommunications network on a contract basis.
This is a field-based role, ideal for a qualified electrician with strong experience in electrical testing, inspection and maintenance.
You'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive works across multiple sites, ensuring compliance, safety and operational reliability.
Responsibilities
- Complete EICRs across telecommunications sites.
- Carry out reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding and remedial works.
- Deliver minor electrical installations and upgrade projects.
- Perform PAT testing and electrical safety inspections.
- Supervise specialist contractors when required.
- Complete all certification, reports and site documentation.
- Support operational and health & safety audits.
- Manage your own workload and travel schedule across the UK.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified Electrician (City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Test & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
- Previous experience carrying out EICRs and electrical testing.
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations and safe working practices.
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
Desirable
- PAT Testing qualification.
- Experience within telecommunications, critical infrastructure or utilities.
- Knowledge of UPS systems, standby generators, BMS, fire alarms or HVAC systems.
- Experience supervising contractors.
