Environment Integration Specialist (SAP, S/4, BTP)

A leading retailer are looking for a Environment Integration Specialist (SAP, S/4) to join a major transformation project.

As the Environment Integration Specialist you will support the readiness and validation of third-party systems as part of a Retail SAP S/4HANA transformation. This role will ensure that external retail applications, point-of-sale (POS) systems, e-commerce platforms and supply chain partners can successfully consume and process S/4HANA data, ensuring smooth operations across all retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

* Assess and validate third-party system readiness for integrating and consuming SAP S/4HANA data, specifically in the retail ecosystem (e.g., POS, CRM, e-commerce, ERP).
* Work closely with retail business partners, vendors, and internal teams to ensure data compatibility and alignment with industry best practices.
* Support data validation, reconciliation, and acceptance testing to confirm data integrity across SAP and third-party systems.
* Collaborate with integration and middleware teams to define data exchange standards, formats, and error-handling mechanisms tailored for retail operations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve data transformation, connectivity, and integration issues between SAP S/4HANA and third-party retail applications.
* Assist in testing, environment provisioning, and system cutover activities during the S/4HANA migration.
* Ensure the seamless flow of real-time retail data, including sales transactions, inventory levels, product master data, and pricing updates.
* Document data validation processes, integration dependencies, and issue resolution workflows.
* Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS for payment processing).

Experience
* SAP system integration, data validation, or environment management, preferably in the retail industry.
* Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Retail data structures, including master data, pricing, promotions, sales transactions, and supply chain processes.
* Experience integrating SAP with retail-specific third-party systems, such as:
o POS (e.g., Oracle Retail, NCR, Verifone, Shopify, Magento, Square)
o E-commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, Shopify, Amazon Marketplace)
o Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP CX)

* Hands-on experience with SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite, Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Kafka, or other middleware solutions.
* Familiarity with real-time API management, EDI, and web services (REST, SOAP, OData) for retail data exchange.
* Strong troubleshooting skills for data inconsistencies, real-time transaction failures, and batch processing issues.
* Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Fiori integration.
