Pay: negotiable, INSIDE IR35 via an umbrella company
We are seeking an experienced FTTx Site Supervisor to oversee field operations in the Cornwall West region. This is a critical role ensuring all site activities-including civil works, cabling, splicing, and testing-are delivered in line with approved designs, health & safety regulations, and required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
β Supervise day-to-day activities across multiple FTTx workstreams (civils, cable works, testing, etc.)
β Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, method statements, risk assessments, and H&S best practices
β Maintain strong communication with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
β Act as the key point of contact on site for issue resolution and progress reporting
β Ensure adherence to Openreach PIA procedures, quality standards, and accreditation requirements
Essential Requirements:
β Full UK driving license & own vehicle (must have)
β Previous supervisory experience on large-scale UK FTTx rollouts
β Solid understanding of FTTx architecture, designs, and field deployment techniques
β Proven problem-solving skills and ability to act on initiative
β Confident communicator with a professional and inspiring presence
β Fluent in English (written, spoken, and reading)
β Strong working knowledge of traffic management, excavation safety, and underground asset avoidance
Mandatory Certifications / Accreditations:
β SA001 (Safety Overhead)
β SA002 (Safety Underground)
β NRSWA (Supervisor level)
β SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)
β Asbestos Awareness
Desirable Qualifications:
β MEWPs for Managers (especially for aerial work)
β NEBOSH
β SA005 / SA006
β Highway Sector Schemes (for low and high-speed roads)
