Stott & May are currently working with a consultancy client to hire a Scrum Master on an initial 6-month contract. This role will support a major UK utilities programme, helping Agile teams deliver high-quality technology solutions within a fast-paced transformation environment.

As the Scrum Master, you will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove delivery impediments, and enable high-performing development teams to deliver consistently. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA, Architects and stakeholders to ensure Agile best practices are followed and continuous improvement is embedded across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
  • Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritisation
  • Remove blockers and enable teams to deliver efficiently
  • Track sprint progress and delivery metrics using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Promote Agile best practices and foster a collaborative team culture

Key experience

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master within Agile environments
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile and Kanban frameworks
  • Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar Agile tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Scrum certifications such as CSM or PSM are beneficial
