We are seeking a Day Critical Engineer to maintain and support water systems within a critical facilities environment. This role focuses on statutory compliance, planned and reactive maintenance, and ensuring safe, reliable operation of all water-related services.

Key Duties

  • Maintain domestic and processed water systems
  • Carry out statutory PPMs (flushing, temperature checks, inspections)
  • Respond to reactive water system faults and breakdowns
  • Maintain accurate records, logbooks, and spares registers via CMMS/PDA
  • Act as site point of contact for water systems
  • Host and supervise subcontractors
  • Produce risk assessments and method statements
  • Undertake minor works and site surveys
  • Ensure full compliance with H&S and ACOP L8

Requirements

  • NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in water systems maintenance
  • Good knowledge of H&S legislation and safe systems of work
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • PC literate with a full UK driving licence

Additional Information

  • Day shift role
  • Some outdoor and drainage work required
  • Willingness to work additional hours when required
